Julie Cressey is the General Manager at TELUS Health, New Zealand, based in Auckland. With over 30 years’ experience working in organisational development and consulting alongside managing high performing customer centric teams she has headed up TELUS Health in New Zealand for the past 6 years.

She joined the EAPAA Executive Committee in 2019 as the New Zealand representative, spending the last two years as Treasurer, prior to taking on the Presidents role.

Over a career spanning more than 20 years, Jacinta has been an active part of the evolution of Caraniche’s EAP services in Australia. She has extensive experience developing and delivering psychological programs, and is attuned to the changing needs of workplaces across Australia. Jacinta also has extensive expertise in forensic substance abuse treatment and correctional systems. As the Managing Director of Caraniche for the past decade, Jacinta has raised Caraniche’s profile as a pre-eminent psychology and workplace wellbeing company.

Julie Cameron is a Registered Nurse with over 17 years of experience in workplace health, following a career spanning mental health, community health, medical, and aged care sectors. With a deep commitment to equity and access in healthcare, she is passionate about ensuring that all individuals have the opportunity to achieve better health outcomes, particularly through education, early intervention, and sustainable primary healthcare services.

As Chief Clinical Officer, Julie is responsible for driving excellence across three key pillars of business operations: clinical quality, operational efficiency, and service growth. She ensures that healthcare services are not only clinically sound but also delivered in a way that is cost-effective, timely, and responsive to the needs of both employers and employees. Her leadership focuses on optimising service delivery, streamlining processes, and expanding the reach of workplace health services to support more organisations and individuals.

Julie is particularly dedicated to empowering employers to create resilient, productive workplaces by providing the right health support for their teams. She is a strong advocate for improving health literacy, helping individuals take control of their personal health goals and make informed decisions about their well-being. She believes that by strengthening primary healthcare and fostering collaboration between private and public sectors, New Zealand can achieve better long-term health outcomes, reducing the burden on secondary and tertiary care

Cate, as Chief Clinical Officer of Converge, is a Mental Health Social Worker and organisational development consultant with over two decades of experience in EAP, consultancy and training. A former manager of the Beyondblue National Workplace Program, Cate is a sought-after expert in mental health in the workplace.

She focuses on clinical governance, research and excellence, evolving the exceptional value that employee assistance providers bring to businesses to reduce people risk and improve performance. Cate believes that investing in people ensures sustainable excellence in supporting both employees and organisational health.

Alana Johnston

General Manager, Caraniche

Alana is a registered psychologist who has been working with Caraniche for over ten years. Alana has held a variety of roles including working as a clinician conducting assessments and delivering a range of treatments to both individuals and groups, as well as supervising a large clinical team as a Senior Psychologist. Alana has also worked as a Project Lead for Department of Health funded workforce training, developing both training packages and sessions. Alana also regularly provides training in other areas including; Motivational Interviewing, AOD training, Supervision Skills, Managing Challenging Behaviours, and Case Notes and Documentation.

With over 10 years of experience in the healthcare, not-for-profit, and tertiary education sectors, Edward has worked throughout Australia and New Zealand in clinical psychology, counselling, and mental health consulting. He has served as a wellbeing advisor at Hato Hone St John in New Zealand, gaining valuable insights into evidence-based approaches for supporting employee mental health in complex environments. Prior to his psychology career, Edward was a qualified CPA with experience in financial planning and reporting in large corporations.
