Membership Guidelines & Criteria
Provider Company Membership
Small, Medium or Large Provider Company Members are those organisations / groups / units providing external or internal EAPs and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Australia.
All Provider Members are required to employ a designated senior professional to overview the professional activities of employees and consultants. When applying please provide details of your company’s experience (minimum 3 years) in provision of EAPs and the names and contact details of two referees. We also need the current professional registration details of the company’s clinicians.
Large Provider Members
Entitlements include 3 mailing subscriptions and 3 votes
Medium Provider Members
Entitlements include 2 mailing subscriptions and 2 votes
Small Provider Members
Entitlements include 1 mailing subscription and 1 vote
Extra benefit: Provider Company Membership entitles you to complimentary listing on the EAPAA website.
Provisional Provider Company Membership
Provisional Membership is for those organisations / groups / units providing external or internal EAPs which do not meet current EAPAA service standards.
With your application form please provide details of your company’s experience in EAP provision and provide the names and contact details of two referees. We also need details of the designated senior professional who will overview clinical practice for the company. If at any time you meet service standard requirements and have a minimum three years experience in providing EAP services, then your company will be upgraded to Provider Member and listed on the website.
Clinical Membership
Clinical Membership is for registered psychologists, social workers, counsellors or occupational therapists with a minimum of three years supervised EAP counselling or equivalent experience. When applying you will need to supply your current professional details. Furthermore occupational therapists seeking membership, will need to provide evidence of Occupational Therapy Australia membership and meet the additional conditions of membership.
Extra Benefit: Clinical Membership entitles you to listing as an EAPAA Clinical Member on our database with your details made available to our provider members.
Affiliate Membership
Affiliate Members are non-clinical (psychological) and HR personnel, and allied health professionals with an interest in EAP. All affiliates will have compliance checks on their registration, insurance, and references.
Extra Benefit: Affiliate Membership entitles you to listing as an EAPAA Affiliate Member on our database with your details made available to all our provider members. You may choose to offer a discounted service rate to these customers.
Partner Membership
Partner Membership is offered to corporate / government or partner organisations ie universities or industry bodies. If your program meets our service standards and shows evidence of other mental health support, this membership entitles you to EAPAA endorsement as a mentally healthy workplace.
Individual Membership
Individual Membership is offered to clinicians working within an EAP company who wish to receive discounts for PD / conference attendance and latest news and events mailouts. When applying you will need to prove your employment via a pay slip, appearance on the company website or a letter from your employer.
